Presenter must be registered delegate for 45th NAMMA PEDO 2024
Abstract should be original and should not be published or presented anywhere in the past.
Only one presenter is allowed for paper presentation.
Only postgraduate students from II MDS and III MDS are allowed for paper presentation.
Abstracts received which are not following submission guidelines and received after the deadline will not be considered unless the deadline is extended.
After the abstract submittal, you will be sent an automatic e-mail confirming your successful submission. E-mail will also be used to confirm acceptance/rejection. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail please contact the scientific congress through email.
Each session would have the best presentation of the session award in the respective category of presentation.
The abstract needs to be submitted as per the abstract submission template provided below.
Submission file should be renamed using the following format - Conference Registration number/Category E.g. S719/Student Paper

Maximum time duration: 06+02=08 minutes (Presentation + Q & A).
Identity/ Affiliation of the Presenting Author should not be displayed in the ppt presentation.

Abstract Title:
Title of Presentation in Arial/ Times New Roman font: Size 14 point. Each word should begin with a capital letter except transition words; Title should not be longer than 20 words.
Abstract Body:
For Body of Abstract use Times New Roman font/ Arial Font Size 12 point. Paragraphs should be justified (straight-edged) on both left and right. Use single-line spacing.
Structured Abstract for Original Research:

Clinical Case [Key points- Clinical Findings, Diagnostic evaluation, treatment and Follow-Up]

The total number of words for abstract – 150 Words Not including title, or section headings.
Please note that incomplete abstracts will not be accepted
Structred Abstract for Systematic Reviews/ Meta - Analysis
Aim: Introduction for Research question
Methods: Includes search strategy, inclusion/ exclusion criteria, data collection, analysis and synthesis.
Results: Findings of the review should be clearly presented. Results of statistical analyses should also be included in this section.
Images, tables and visual data cannot be submitted.

General guidelines for Poster Presentation
The poster should be prepared in Portrait format and with least amount of background graphics for easy readability.
The size of the poster should be 2 Feet X 3 Feet
The poster should be on paper (avoid canvas) and minimum font size should be of 22 (Times New Roman or equivalent)
The poster should be readable from 1.5 – 2 meters
Maximum time- 2+1=3 minutes (presentation + Q & A) [Strictly adhere to the allotted time and not to exceed to avoid negative marking.]

Identity/ Affiliation of the Presenting Author should not be displayed in the poster.
POSTER SET-UP PRESENTATION - The Printed Poster (portrait format 2 feet X 3 feet) has to be brought by the presenter. You will be given a poster board and date and time of poster display and judging. Kindly stick to your time and date. After presentation the posters can be taken back.

3. Student Video Presentation
Only post graduate students from I MDS are allowed for participation
Identity/ Affiliation of the Presenting Author should not be displayed in the ppt presentation.
Two minutes video can be made with either voice-over or with subtitles. This will have equal weightage as that of paper/poster presentation.
The participants are not required to present rather be available for any Q & A.
Maximum 3 persons can make one video & shall be given certificate.
TOPICS:
1. Public awareness about the speciality of Pediatric dentistry.
2. Oral health maintenance of children.
3. Any of the listed topics in the sub-category.
4. Video format : MP4 or MPEG-4, 1080p, 16:9 ratio.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Only one entry per college and each team consists of three members.
QUIZ RULES
MCQ based preliminary test will be conducted
Tip six teams will be selected for finals.
There will be five rounds.
Every team will be given ten seconds for each question.
The first answer will be considered; no second option.
No passing of question/No negative marking.
In case of tie, team answering first will be declared winners.
Decision of the quiz masters will be final.
THEME: MINIMAL INVASIVE PROCEDURES IN PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Content – Use the above table clinic theme for interactive display presentation.
Maximum 3 persons can present one table clinic (Add co-authors registration number in submission portal).
Only post graduate students from I MDS are allowed for participation.
Identity/ Affiliation of the Presenting Author should not be displayed in the table clinic.
Use standard layout for your table clinic display - 2 Feet X 3 Feet.
Ensure the layout is visually appealing and easy to read.
Organize and arrange logically with clear headings and sections.
Visual Interactive contents - Use only high-quality images, models, props for demonstration. Use of laptop, smartphones or dental instruments are not allowed.
Maximum time- 2+1=3 minutes (presentation + Q & A) [Strictly adhere to the allotted time and not to exceed to avoid negative marking.]
TABLE CLINIC SET-UP PRESENTATION – Arrive early and set-up display and ensure it is properly secured and visible for judging. Remove your display promptly after designated time slot and leave the area neat after your session.
NOTE: Abstract without authorization letter from the Head of the Department will not be considered
Rules & Regulations
Only one entry ( One student, 1st, 2nd or 3rd year post graduate) per college.
Last date for entry will be 15th of August 2024.
MCQ based prelimary test will be conducted for elimination.
There will be two debate topics.
There will be two teams for each debate topic- one for and another against.
Each team will have four members.
Total of 4+4 x 2 debates = 16 candidates will be selected.
Four members from each team can be from any institution.
After selection of candidates, they will be intimated directly / website about the topics allotted.
Students should engage in healthy topic-related deliberations in the debate.
Points for deliberation around the topic will be projected on the power point slide.
Duration of the debate will be approximately half an hour for each topic.
The moderator (preferably a professor) will monitor the points of discussion around which the debate shall progress within the given time frame and giving equal opportunity to the for and against teams.
P.s.: no slurs, expletives, personal, religious, political and/ or anti-nationalistic intonations or statements will be tolerated, failing which, can result in immediate disqualification by the moderator and/ or the debate committee without any explanations to whomsoever.
